We test your product in clear PET jars testing the ph and viscosity of your product over a 12 week period, assessing appearance, colour and odour to ensure your product remains stable. This is done in five different environments: Freeze/thaw, 5°C, room temperature, 30°C and 40°C.
We test your product in your chosen retail packaging to assess it’s compatibility. We’ll assess dispense function, packaging integrity and texture. This is done in five different environments: 5°C, room temperature, 30°C and 40°C and UV light.
We send your product to an external laboratory to test that your preservative is working, they put bugs & bacteria into your product to challenge the preservative to ensure that it fights off the bacteria.
Once everything has passed the tests, we create the PIF (Product Information File) and send this to an external safety assessor to review this against the prospective regions of sale. This is a legal requirement for all cosmetics products.
We register your products on the Cosmetics Portal including exact concentrations, formulations, packaging information and labels. This is a legal requirement for any cosmetics sold in UK.
